Prof Su Rong (Principal Investigator)
Prof Su Rong obtained his Bachelor of Engineering degree from University of Science and Technology of China, and Master of Applied Science degree and PhD degree from University of Toronto, respectively. He was affiliated with University of Waterloo and Technical University of Eindhoven before he joined Nanyang Technological University in 2010. Dr Su's research interests include multi-agent systems, discrete-event system theory, model-based fault diagnosis, operation planning and scheduling with applications in flexible manufacturing, intelligent transportation, human-robot interface, power management and green building. In the aforementioned areas he has more than 110 journal and conference publications and 2 patents, and has been involved in several projects sponsored by Singapore National Research Foundation (NRF), Singapore Agency of Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore Ministry of Education (MoE), Singapore Civil Aviation Authority (CAAS) and Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB). Prof Su is a senior member of IEEE, and an associate editor for Transactions of the Institute of Measurement and Control, Journal of Control and Decision, and Journal of Discrete Event Dynamic Systems: Theory and Applications. He is also the Chair of the Technical Committee on Smart Cities in the IEEE Control Systems Society, and a board member of the School of EEE at NTU.
Dr Seshadhri Srinivasan (Research Fellow)
Dr Seshadhri Srinivasan obtained his PhD in Control Engineering from National Institute of Technology-Tiruchirappalli, India in 2010. He worked as Assoc. Scientist in ABB Corporate Research and as Sr. Scientist at CENS, Estonia with the European road map project on Complex Networked Systems. He also worked with Technical University of Munich, Germany and with GRACE, Italy in two projects on Smart Grids eGotham and I3RES. Currently, he is a postdoc at Berkeley Education Alliance for Research in Singapore working on building energy management. He is also a member of IEEE CSS Standards Committee.
Dr Korkut Bekiroglu (Research Fellow)
Dr Korkut Bekiroglu received the B.S. degree from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Karadeniz Technical University, Trabzon, Turkey, in 2005, the M.S. degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Northeastern University, Boston, MA, USA, in 2010, and the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering, The Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA, USA, in 2015. He is currently a Research Fellow with school of Electrical and Electronics Engineering department, Nanyang Technological University. His current research interests include the interface of system identification, signal processing, robust control, robust model predictive controller design, real time system identification, adaptive treatment, discrete event dynamical systems, and robust optimization.
Dr Jiang Chaoyang (Research Fellow)
Dr. Jiang received his B.E. degree in Electrical Engineering and Automation from China University of Mining and Technology in 2009, M.E. degree in Control Science and Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2011, and Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Nanyang Technological University in 2017. He is currently a Research Fellow with the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. His current research interests include statistical signal processing, statistical learning, control theory, CFD, IoT, and their applications in smart buildings.
Mr Ethan Png (Research Associate)
Ethan Png received his MSc Computation degree from The University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) in 2004. His research interests include visible light communication, IoT, intelligent self-driving bicycles, artificial neural networks, medical robots, IC design, and condensed matter physics (semiconductors).
